Oh boo freaking hoo. They should try writing scientific documents. Just becase the spell check suggests a change deos not mean you MUST make it. Morons.
"Morons" might be a little strong. I know that when I'm tight up against an editing deadline, I don't pay quite as much attention to what the spell-check gives me, and I've caught myself clicking to accept a spell-check suggestion when I meant to reject it.
But being hard up against deadline is no reason to forget your common sense.
But they KNOW this is a problem, which means they should know to watch for it!
