Mapping the credit

Mike Hertz points out that my entry about the evolution of the New York subway map leaves out a few details. He points to a follow-up column by Ray Sanchez that discredits John Tauranac's claims to having designed the map. However, my post of April 7 wasn't about the current map or its designer but rather about a book tracing the history of the subway map. I still hope to see such a book.
