I've just been awarded a stipend to attend the CFP2002 conference in April in San Francisco.

CFP stands for Computers, Freedom, and Privacy, and guests include the attorney general of California, the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, and science fiction author Bruce Serling. Topics include constitutional law, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, efforts to create a national identity card, restrictions on information in the wake of September 11, hacktivism (hacking in the name of activism--in this case, human rights), intellectual property, and public records versus personal privacy.

I'm really excited about this. I can't believe they awarded me money!
